Our first full day on the Isles of Scilly were amazing. We rode the Sea King - operated by the St Mary's Boatmen's Association) for the morning to spot the wildlife on Isles of Scilly. Sailing past Gugh, St. Agnes, Annett, the Western Rocks and out to Bishops Rock Lighthouse we spotted a plethora of seabirds and seals. The boat dropped us off around lunch time at the quay outside the Turks Head Pub on St Agnes, allowing us a few hours in the afternoon to explore the island. We ate a packed lunch on the gorgeous white sand beach known as the bar (one of many gorgeous Isles of Scilly beaches I'll go on to share in this series) linking St. Agnes with Gugh, before wandering around Gugh Island to take in its scenery and history. After exploring Gugh, we then took a wander across the island, past St. Agnes lighthouse, to Troytown Farm where we sampled some of the farm's home made ice cream overlooking the Troytown Farm campsite before boarding back onto a boat headed for St. Mary's - our base for our 1 week Isles of Scilly holiday.
