Flame of Hope-One earth - One humanity - One Flame. All together we create a just and equal world with the heart of altruism. What does it mean to be "pilgrims walking through life" like Saint Francis and Saint Claire of Assisi or sharing the Flame of Hope for a bright future? Through all centuries saints have given us examples and courage to live a joyful life full of respect for creation. The Peace Light burning atbthe memorial of Saint Francis of Assisi was unified with the Flame of Hope on July 28, 2022. The peace light of Assisi was lit by Pope Pius XII during World War II. Since then, it has continued to burn as a symbol of peace, and as a symbol of a way of life in which humanity, nature, and the universal Holy Spirit unify, inheriting the spirit of the 13th-century saints St. Francis and St. Claire of Assisi.
