CARAVANNING QUEENSLAND - OUTBACK DAM FREE CAMP

The Hamilton Hotel Ruins is in between Boullia and Winton in central west Queensland. It is a rest stop with full mobile reception that is open for people to stop for a rest or to camp for a night or two. We were planning to head bush to the south east of this spot but as usual, the drive always takes way longer than expected. We decide to camp here for a night. After settling in for the afternoon we realised that there may be a little bit more to explore in the area. When we ventured beyond the rest stop we found a large dam in behind some dirt mounds and it turned out to be an awesome camp site where we could rest and relax for the next couple of nights. While staying here we helped recover a massive 5th wheeler setup who got bogged in the rest stop. We caught a tiny fish, found out a lot about the history of the place and watched some amazing sunsets.
