Today we're going to take a look at the Kodiak disc brake caliper with the stainless steel piston for 7,000 pound or 8,000 pound axles. This caliper is a cast-iron construction. Prevents any flexing, keeps your braking torque consistent. It is a self-adjusting design to ensure a nice, smooth, even braking. Has a low dragability that'll retract the piston further than your traditional models, so it'll give you less friction which leads to a cooler running brake. I do want to show you the stainless steel piston. We'll pop out the pad here. There you can see it's a 2 1/2 inch diameter stainless steel piston, which is about 30% larger than in most disc brake systems, so that'll give you increased braking torque, a lot shorter stopping distance. This does use the ceramic brake pads which'll provide a superior performance for more consistent braking, and it withstands the high temperatures for maximum wear. The stainless steel construction is very durable and rustproof. It is ideal for extended marine use. Goes through a thousand hour salt spray rating. Now, the caliper does include the two stainless steel guide bolts with the thread locker on the threads, has a dual port lead screw right here, stainless steel piston is showed you, and the ceramic brake pads. This part is made in the USA and again the application for this is on disc brakes with the following axles of 7,000 pounds or 8,000 pound rating, and use the rotor diameter of 13 inches. That should do it for the review on the Kodiak disc brake caliper with the stainless steel piston for 7,000 pound and 8,000 pound axles..
