MVP Proton Octane and MVP Neutron Energy test footage

These are brand new 23mm distance discs being released by MVP on August 5th 2016. Energy: For my arm speed the Energy is a bit too fast and overstable, but I could see it being utilized for many different shots. Rollers, Thumbers and Flex shots it excels. For those of you with bigger arms you will see a very straight disc, meaning it WILL NOT TURN, then it will fade extremely hard. Every time I would release it with a hyzer, it was like gravity wanted to pull it straight down on its edge. That will make for a great hyzer spike disc that you don't want to carry off, but rather go up and straight down. If you give it full power with a flat release it will carry but once the wing starts to dip it really falls off the table so to speak. It absolutely will fill a gap that could be useful for both intermediate all the way up to pro level players. Octane: The Octane is my favorite distance driver... yes I didn't say favorite MVP driver, I said favorite across the board. Even though the one that I tested is 174g and it yielded little turn with a hard fade, I know that my sweet spot for this disc is around 165g. Which is why in the video I put one throw with my 165g Octane in there. It gets really good but controllable turn and has always faded back for me. I don't use this disc for tomahawks, rollers or utility shots, I use it for when I might be unsure of what to throw. It gives me that much confidence and has become a staple in my bag. Do yourself a favor and get your paws on these bad boys, and also don't forget about the Proton Vanish being released on Aug 5th. I have a separate video on the vanish on my channel if you are curious. Thanks for watching.
