The Sangean DT-800 AM FM Weather Alert pocket radio does a good job on the medium wave band during the evening. It may be more sensitive to RFI then the CCPocket or DT-400W. Both of those radios had excellent reception and I consider them equals during the evening hours on the AM band. The CCPocket and DT800 have the slight edge with 1K tuning and an extra bandwidth filter. Prices are dropping fast on this radio, hopefully they work out some of the issues. Again, it might just be my two examples and a very isolated occurrence. I will buy another in the future to test with. Most likely next year some time. Giving Sangean ample time to revamp and tweak what needs to be done to make this radio shine well above the others. In the meantime, enjoy a DT-400W or a CCPocket...I like the fact the CCPocket comes with a one year warranty. Thank you for watching.
