The late Rick Turner’s Renaissance model guitars and basses were among the very first electric instruments designed to offer hassle-free acoustic sound at stage volumes. Rick passed last year, but Rick Turner Guitars continues to build all his classic models at the same high level of craftsmanship as during his own leadership. San Francisco Bay Area guitarist, author, and radio host David Gans recently stopped by the Peghead Nation studio with his 2022 Renaissance Deuce, which has piezo and magnetic pickups and is built with a redwood top and sycamore back and sides. In this video, David demonstrates the guitar using his live-looping setup.
