Still, most human and animal life has been completely wiped from the planet. While a few small species did survive, the ecological niches once occupied by avians, ungulates, and predators have been filled by wild, animalistic machines--fully independent and, in a way, even capable of reproducing. In this video, we’ll examine how these machines “evolved” to fill these roles, as well as how a fully synthetic machine can nearly perfectly mimic nature-- through a concept known as biomimetic design. Then, we’ll look at a few specific examples of Horizon’s complex, bio-robotic creatures in more detail.
