Masoor Biryani Recipe | Easy Veg Biryani Recipe | Tarannum Fakih

Masoor Biryani is a very easy Veg Biryani Preparation Ingredients : 250 gms Brown Masoor Dal 350 gms Basmati Rice 4 large sized Onions chopped 2 medium sized tomatoes chopped 3 tsp ginger garlic paste 5 green chillies 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 2 tsp red chilli powder 1 1/2 cumin powder 1 tsp garam masala powder 1 cup milk Few strands of kesar 2 tbsp ghee Few Coriander leaves 1/2 cup of oil 2 green cardamom 1 cinnamon stick 2 cloves Salt as per taste Soak Masoor Dal for 2 hours. After 2 hours boil dal till it is 80% cooked. Soak Basmati rice for 1 hour. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions to it. Fry onions till golden brown. Keep aside these fried onions. Take 2 tbsp of oil and add ginger garlic paste to it. Saute ginger garlic paste for 1 min. Add chopped tomatoes and green chillies and cook for another 5 mins. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and salt. Mix together and cook till the tomatoes are cooked properly. Add half of fried onions to the masala and boiled masoor dal. Cook for another 5 - 10 mins. The masala is ready now. Lets prepare rice. Heat water in a pan. Add green cardamom, cinnamon sticks and cloves to boiling water. Add salt and 2 tsp of oil. Add soaked rice and boil till the rice is 70% cooked. In a cup of milk add few saffron strands. Now lets prepare biryani - In a large pan arrange the first layer of cooked rice. Then second layer of masoor masala and third layer of rice again. Garnish with coriander leaves and fried onions. Add saffron infused milk and ghee. Cover and cook biryani of medium flame for 15 - 20 mins. Enjoy this biryani with some dahi ka raita. #masoor #biryani #pulao #tarannumfakih
