I go through all of the Star Tournaments once again, but this time use Mario characters to complete them. The reason is that in order to unlock the No Simulation Line handicap (only accessible through modes that allow multiplayer), you must beat them with the mentioned crew no matter what version of the game (North American, Japanese, or European) you are on.
