Thanks for watching, Y'all! This dulcimer has 3 strings, a 25" VSL, 1.5 and 6.5 (and matching in the upper octave) frets, a walnut body, and a Sitka spruce top. This is a prototype (#2, completed) of our new dulicimer/guitar hybrid. 12" wide at the lower bout, 1 1/2" wide fretboard, Sitka spruce braces internally (supporting the bridge). We were aiming for a bigger sound than the earlier prototypes, a longer sustain, and a warmer tone. The modifications we made from the first prototype to this one accomplished those goals, and I'm very happy with the power and tone of this particular instrument. We'll have more prototypes, especially with VSL variations, over the coming months, but the 25" version (this prototype) is getting really close. I hope you enjoy hearing this instrument!
