Big Black Pompret Puli Munchi Ghassi. Halwa Fish Curry Ambot Theek Kadi is ready. Malla Manji in Mangalorean style Sour & Spicy Halwa Meen Gassi is ready to eat. With Red Boiled Rice. 👉 Ingredients: 2&1/2 kg Big Halwa/ Black Pompret Fish 1 Cup Scraped fCoconut 12 Kashmiri dry Chillies 6 Bydgi dry Chillies 1tbsp Coriander seeds 1tsp Peppercorns 1/4 tsp Methi Seeds 1/4 tsp Carrom seeds/ Ajwain/Oma 1tsp Turmeric powder 1/2tsp Cumin seeds 6 Garlic Cloves 1 Onion 1&1/2 or 2 Lemon size Tamrind Add 1/2" piece of Ginger & 2Green chillies 1tbsp Vinegar (add it last in the curry) Sufficient water to grind Method: 1. Grind the above mentioned ingredients smooth fine into curry paste by adding sufficient water. 2. Clean Halwa fish nicely, add Salt & little Vinegar & keep it aside for 5mins & wash it. 3. Take a deep Vessel/Pan/Earthen Pot/Kundley put all grounded masala in it, add 1&1/2" nicely crushed Ginger, 4-6 slitted Green chillies, add sufficient water, add Salt to taste, mix it altogether & adjust the curry in medium thick consistency, let it boil nicely for 8-10mins till nice aroma comes. 4. After 5 mins wash Black Pompret Fish again, add it in the boiling curry, let it cook for 5mins more, at last before switch off the flame add 1tbsp of Vinegar & boil it for 2mins. ● Fry One small Onion with little Coconut Oil & add Tadka over the Fish curry. 5. Switch off the Gas. Yummy Halwa fish/Black Pompret curry is ready to serve with Red Boiled Rice or any of your favourite Panpolay/Dosas/Pav, Roti or Chapathi. ● Adjust the spices depend upon your taste more or less.
