The Raintree Trail at Mt Charleston / Las Vegas, NV

What's up my fellow adventurers? Follow along with me as I hike along the Raintree Trail in the Mt Charleston area of the Humboldt Toyabe National Forest. I'll cover the drive getting to the trailhead, the various areas you'll see along the route, terrain you can expect to encounter on your hike and give you a visual guide to the Raintree itself; one of the oldest living things in the state of Nevada, just outside Las Vegas. The Raintree is believed to be about 3,000 years old and is surely a sight to see. Do be mindful not to climb or stand on its roots, touch its bark or spend too much time standing at its base since these things can damage the roots and compact the soil which hurts the tree.
