Kia’s Onboard Voice Recognition helps you access various features without pressing buttons. For best results, close the sunroof and the windows. On the steering wheel, press the VOICE RECOGNITION button. [SYSTEM SAYS: “Please say a command.”] When you hear the beep, say something like: “Find a gas station.” [SYSTEM SAYS: “Finding a gas station.”] Notice that when you select the VOICE RECOGNITION button, a voice prompt window pops up on the infotainment system screen – that means the system is listening to what you’re saying. Press the COMMANDS button to see the available voice recognition commands. You can also find an address or search a category: {Find a restaurant] You can access frequently visited destinations, your Address Book, and Traffic Information. And if you have addresses stored in the navigation system, you can say things like, “Go Home” or “Go to Work” You can also pick which radio band you want to listen to: FM, AM or SiriusXM by saying: [Sirius XM] ALT [[FM radio]] The system can also play music from a connected Media device. When in Voice Recognition, to end it you can say EXIT. Or select EXIT on the voice recognition screen. To change the Voice Recognition setting, from the infotainment system Home screen, swipe left to ALL MENUS… Select SETUP … Then select VOICE RECOGNITION. From here, you can Reduce the Number of Voice Recognition Prompts so only beeps are heard when you need to say a command or request, streamlining the process.
