How to stabilize shaky video: video stabilization newly added in Filmora

Video stabilization is a brand-new feature in the Filmora 6.8 release. Apart from stabilization, we will be also adding video reversal, screen capture to this new version. Users of Filmora can update for free to get access to all these features. Download latest version of Filmora: https://filmora.wondershare.com/video... As amateur photographers, no matter you are shooting on Gopro, or any other action camera, handheld cameras, or even your smartphones, one biggest problem most people will surely face is shaky shots. Unless this look is intentional, you’ll want to stabilize your shots to eliminate unwanted motion. Now let’s see how you can smooth your hand-held video footage with this new stabilization feature in Filmora. Once you open the program, import all your raw footages to the media library. Now select the video clip, right click on it, and choose “Video Stabilization” from the drop down menu to bring up the stabilization editing window. Here you can preview your raw video footage. Often times you will just need to stabilize part of your video clip rather than the entire clip. So the very first thing you can do is trim out unwanted parts. This can help save you time and boost the processing efficiency. Right below the preview window here, by dragging the slider bar you can define the starting point and ending point of the clip that you want to stabilize. Next, click on the Analyze Shakes button here. Filmora will then start analyzing the video clip and stabilize it. Once the stabilization is finished, you can preview the before and after video here. To refine the result, drag this slider bar to adjust the smooth level. Once you’ve finished stabilizing shaky videos, click to save the final video. The final video will be automatically added to the media library here for further editing. It is worth to mention that sometimes if your video footage shakes dramatically, it is very hard to fix it afterwards with any possible tools. Videos shot outdoors will get better results than videos shot indoors. The best practice is always to take actions beforehand so as to get stable videos.
