PCT 2024 Episode 34: From Ashland to Bend - Days 111-116 on the Pacific Crest Trail

The PCT journey continues! Briefly. Then comes to a halt again. Then after skipping around some heavy smoke it resumes! After our double zero in Ashland we are refreshed and ready to go. However, we hike out into some smoke, and react to it worse than we expected. We head back into town and make another tough decision to skip around the smoke (and another closed section of trail) and go to Bend. Unfortunately, we both manage to catch a cold while there and are forced to delay our hike out. Once back on the trail, however, it is magical! We no longer need town beers on the trail!
