Faversham is a hidden gem situated close to the Kent coast near Whitstable and the Isle of Sheppey, and is definitely THE place to go this Summer!  In this 4K walking tour I’ll be taking you along the historic streets, taking in the scenery and showing you all the things to see and do in this beautiful medieval market town. It was my first visit to this magical destination and I can’t wait to get back already.     Walk with me as I explore the oldest market in Kent (celebrating it’s 1000th anniversary!), the world’s oldest gunpowder mill, Chart Mill (located in an actual housing estate!), check out the quirky independent and vintage shops / galleries at Standard Quay, a number of Faversham’s 300+ listed buildings, the picturesque creek and spectacular boatyard.  Of course no trip would be complete without a few visits to some of the town’s many pubs and inns – Faversham even has it’s very own Shepherd Neame brewery where you can get a guided tour!     Perfect for a day trip from London, a short break or holiday, and with something to do for all the family, come and see why this charming town is one of the best places to visit in Kent! It’s an experience like no other.
