Let's build a tunnel! In this installment of the On30 Goldfield & Calico project, I model a tunnel that goes through the backdrop to connect the "on-stage" parts of the layout to the backstage staging yard. First, I paint and detail the track, then it's time to build a square-set timber tunnel portal and model the rocky interior and exterior of the tunnel itself.
