G Lydian Scale | Piano And Music Theory Tutorial✨

Are you looking for a G Lydian scale piano and music theory tutorial? How to play the G Lydian scale on piano? ▶️Please Subscribe:    / @musicsimplyunderstood   Hello! In this piano tutorial video, I will show you how to play the G Lydian scale on the piano. This lesson is designed for beginners or those who want to brush up on their knowledge of the G Lydian Scale. The Lydian scale can be described as a major scale with the fourth scale degree raised a semitone, making it an augmented fourth above the tonic, e.g., an F-major scale with a B♮ rather than B♭. This mode's augmented fourth and the Locrian mode's diminished fifth are the only modes to have a tritone above the tonic. Because of the importance of the major scale in modern music, the Lydian mode is often described as the scale that begins on the fourth scale degree of the major scale, or alternatively, as the major scale with the fourth scale degree raised half a step. This sequence of pitches roughly describes the scale underlying the fifth of the eight Gregorian (church) modes, known as Mode V or the authentic mode on F, theoretically using B♮ but in practice more commonly featuring B♭.[1] The use of the B♭ as opposed to B♮ would have made such piece in the modern day F major scale. The G Lydian scale or G Lydian mode is related to the scale of D major. Hence it has the same alterations, namely two sharps. These are the notes used by the G Lydian scale: G A B C# D E F# G _________________________________________________________ Scales are an important aspect of piano playing, and everyone goes through the process of learning how to finger them correctly. When scales are performed with both hands at the same time, we must be extremely synchronized when playing them on the piano. This tutorial only deals with the right hand. When practicing always start by playing slowly! Once you get more assurance you can increase speed. Practice frequently (daily) and keep your sessions short, especially if you are a beginner.
