In this clip from 1967, American singer and social activist Harry Belafonte talks about racism, patriotism and war. Belafonte was one of Martin Luther King Jr.'s confidants, and a big supporter of the anti-apartheid movement. He has won three Grammy Awards, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, an Emmy Award, and a Tony Award. He is perhaps best known for singing 'The Banana Boat Song', with its signature lyric "Day-O".
