Today I'm reviewing my new job: Sorcerer, I was a Professor in the past and I quite like the job, which inspired me to make the change. Switching from Physical to Magical job requires quite many customizations, such as the following: 1. Card Mainly for accessory cards, and if we have invested in Owl Baron card, we may reconsider your choice, as we probably need to re-invest in Bonnie card to get the similar damage output. And minor but costs some growth items are Wraith or Aether Wraith accessory cards which we need for Magic DPS. While other card slots are largely similar. Apart from that, we may also need to switch your Card Deck to Prophecy, instead of BrutaIity. I heard BrutaIity works for Sorcerer too, but it doesn't work better than my Ferocity, maybe my BrutaIity is lower level though. 2. Nebula Module This may require many reset items if we are invested in Sharp Arms skill, and PDMG / Ignore PDEF stats. 3. Cogwheel This requires quite a lot of investments, since we cannot reuse any old job specific Cogwheels. So it will require so many Cogwheel Gacha, Smeldon Fragments, or reset items. 4. Accessory If we are lucky enough to get accessories from Freyja, this can be a minor cost. Otherwise it is a decently high investment, I believe it is about $100 each if we are buying from the shop. 5. Feather If we are relying on red purple feathers, we will need to swap to Faith feather instead of Valor and Glory. However for older servers, feathers are less of an issue since we get quite many for free. And also no change is required if you are using Truth feather. Apart from that, we may need to reset our Sacred Libra. 6. Medal Since we have medal reset function now, it's a minor cost. On top of the cost, this job switch also consumes a lot of time to reconfigure our builds. The next section, I am trying out the damage in the training ground. As we can see here, Sorcerer relies on the Spirit to increase our damage. Before equipping spirit, the DPS is only 100 millions, while with Spirit it becomes 1 billions more. On top of that, theoretically we should benefit from the Element Domain which we cast on the ground. However based on this limited testing, it doesn't give substantial DPS. If we were to compare Sorcerer to Doram, the total DPS is almost half, when my Physical Doram dealt 2 billions DPS in the training ground. However the advantage of Sorcerer lies in the time it takes to accumulate DPS, kind of same concept with "Acceleration" We can see this better in PvP content in the next section In the PvP, Sorcerer main job is to instantly kill enemies using the Auto attack. The DPS acceleration is quite fast compared to Doram which requires their summons to hit the target. Or Warlock which has a slight delay in Meteor animation. Another aspect about Sorcerer, it has limited utility skills. We don't have Ruwach, Teleport, and only Energy Coat as a survival skill. It is a major adjustment, especially for me coming from Doram which has many skills as a controller, rather than main and straightforward DPS.
