Doolans Kenworth K200 Moving Tasrail Locomotive

A Doolans Heavy Haulage Kenworth K200 is shown shifting Tasrail unit 2021 during part of its trip from Launceston to Bendigo (Australia ). The first view shows it leaving Beveridge, and then as it begins the climb away from Wallan towards the top of "Pretty Sally", which is the summit of the Great Diving Range. It is then seen as it passes through Kilmores main street, and then as it arrives at Tooborac for a quick check, and then finally as it arrives at SSR's Nth Bendigo Workshops where it will receive attention before being trucked back to Western Australia. The K200 is powered by a Cummins 620hp EGR, and with a total gross weight of 120t, 80 of which being for the loco. The loco began it's life in Western Australia in 1971 when it entered service with the West Australian Government Railways ( WAGR ), as D1564. In 1998 it was sold to Tranzrail and shipped to Hutt Workshops in Wellington, New Zealand for rebuilding. It was then sold to Tasrail and entered service in Tasmania on August 2001. It was later placed into storage in mid 2014. After work in Bendigo it will be returned back to its original home in Western Australia 19 years after leaving with Watco.
