Mt. Harvard to Mt. Columbia Traverse, with maps & route description

My ascent of CO. collegiate 14ers Mt. Harvard & Mt. Columbia via their long & rugged connecting ridge on July 19, 2021. Mt. Harvard is Colorado's 3rd highest mountain, and was one of the first collegiate peaks to be named. Mt. Columbia, though less famous, is a fine mtn. in its own right. This journey takes me through the picturesque forests and alpine environs of Horn Fork Basin, to the lofty summit of Mt. Harvard, through the boulder-strewn off-trail stretches along the connecting ridge, and to the top of Mt. Columbia. At the beginning I discuss some of the history surrounding these mountains, and toward the end I explain how in terms of endurance stats and route-finding, this was one of the harder routes I have done. The length and ruggedness of the route has the potential of being a surprise to people, so beware. As always, included are maps and route description. Anyway, enjoy the footage! For my climb of neighboring collegiate 14er Mt. Yale:    • Mt. Yale - ascent of the collegiate p...  . For my ascent of collegiate 14er Mt. Princeton:    • Mt  Princeton - Full summit climb via...  . For the list of all my high mtn. climb videos:    • Mountain Hikes and Climbs  .
