Treasure in Bemidji, Minnesota! 😃

It’s mid August, 2022, and I decided to take an 8 1/2 hour drive to Bemidji, Minnesota to visit my best friend (cousin) and clean up the lower part of Lake Bemidji…into the Mississippi River. This was my largest cleanup effort by myself! I filled up my kayak TWICE with trash and treasure, but their is STILL more to be removed from the waterways there! I drove about 894 miles in 17 hours (on the weekend) in order to make this happen, and it was WELL worth it! I even got pulled over once…😬 I wanna thank my cousin and his friend for helping me haul the 4 bicycles from the fishing dock area back over to the parking lot. I also want to thank the city/park workers who had to remove the trash (that I couldn’t fit in my truck). I bagged up all the trash and stacked it neatly by the nearest trash cans before I left. I was able to return the iPhone 11 back to its rightful owner(Shalyssa) recently, with help from my cousin.
