Clearing yellow and oxidizing pond water with Potassium Permanganate
I'm attempting to clear yellow tannin water in the pond by oxidizing it with Potassium Permanganate. For my pond, I'm using 1oz of PP to dilute for 2ppm concentration at 3700/3800 gallons. I clarified it with hydrogen peroxide a few hours later. Water parameters did not change the next morning, which is good, I did not kill my biological filtration. Yellow water has not went away yet. Will continue testing.
