Sri Prasanna Someshwara Swamy Temple, Mulbagal, Kolar 💥 1500😱 வருடம் பழமையான சுயம்பு லிங்கம்🙏😇👌

Sri Someshwara Temple / Sri Purana Prasidda Someshwara Swamy Temple 😇 Mulbagal, Kolar ,Karnataka. More than 1500 Year Old Shiva Temple 🙏 Mulbagal was originally called as Mudala bagilu. This means the “eastern entrance” to the erstwhile Mysore state from Vijayanagara. Latter it became Mulbagal and now called as Mulbagal. There are many historical temples in and around this place and one such a temple is this Sri Purana Prasidda Someshwara Temple. On 4th October 1768 CE, the first Mysore - Anglo war was held in this place. Some of the important details are… The temple is facing east with 5 tier Rajagopuram, seems to be built in recent years. Stone stamba, Dwajasthambam and stucco/sudhai Rishabam are in front of the sanctum sanctorum. The Temple was built in Dravidian style of architecture. The sanctum sanctorum consists of sanctum, antarala, artha mandapa and a mukha mandapam. The pillars has the bas-reliefs of Hindu gods. Moolavar is believed to be sacred and equivalent to Kashi. The temple tank is on the north side of the sanctum sanctorum. The bas-reliefs found outer side wall of the sanctum depicts the Shiva related legends. Ambal is in a separate sannadhi facing east. The the group of Saptamatrikas statues are in ardha mandapa. A damaged Arumugam sitting on peacock is kept out side the temple, looks very cute. The Sivachariyar came from Kanchipuram through Kanchi mutt. He showed us an inscription, which may belongs to 16-17th Century. It was told this temple was built by the Vijayanagara rulers. The abandoned Arumugam TEMPLE TIMINGS: The temple will be kept opened between 08.00 Hrs to 11.00 hrs and 16.00 hrs to 19 hrs. HOW TO REACH: About 90 KM from Bengaluru / Bangalore and 26 KM from Kolar Thanks for Watching 🙏 Saravana Solo Traveler 8554357076
