Klipsch R-34C & R-14M Home Theater - OfferUp $200 - MSRP $797 Average Guy Hi-Fi Rating - 41/50 = 82% Demo: Oblivion 4K Website: https://www.uphe.com/movies/oblivion Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Oblivion-Blu-r... I definitely think this is an underrated movie. I have watched this one a few times alone, just for the visual and audio enjoyment alone. The movie is good also so it’s a win, win for us home theater junkies:) R-34C Frequency Response - 82Hz - 21kHz +/- 3dB Sensitivity - 96 dB @ 2.83V/1M POWER Handling (cont/peak) - 100W/400W Nominal Impedance - 8 Ohms Crossover Frequency - 1,600 Hz HIgh Frequency - 1” Aluminum LTS tweeter mated to a 90 x 90 square Tractrix® Horn Low Frequency - Quad 3.5” spun-copper IMG woofers Enclosure - Bass-Reflex via forward-firing Tractrix®ports Dimensions (H/W/D) - 5.2” x 26” x 6.2 Product Weight - 13 lbs. MSRP - $399 R-14M Frequency Response - 64Hz - 24kHz +/- 3dB Sensitivity - 90 dB @ 2.83V/1M POWER Handling (cont/peak) - 50/200W Nominal Impedance - 8 Ohms Crossover Frequency - 2,250 Hz HIgh Frequency - 1" (2.54cm) Aluminum diaphragm compression driver mated to 90° x 90° square Tractrix® Horn Low Frequency - Single 4” spun-copper IMG woofer Enclosure - Bass-Reflex via rear-firing port Dimensions (H/W/D) - 9.75” x 5.88” x 7.5 Product Weight - 7.13 lbs. MSRP - $199/pr. Total 5 Speaker MSRP - $797 Where I Purchased - Garage, about 30 miles away Listed Price - $200 Price Paid - $200 Condition - 85% All the speakers were I’m good shape but they do have some marks on the vinyl cabinets. Quality - 7.5 The cabinets feel solid and the wrap feels nice and thick and well attached. The vinyl is easily scratched though so be careful handling them. Like usual, If I was going to complain about the quality of these speakers, the area they are lacking is the binding posts. That’s a pretty minor complaint though. Sound - 8.0 Taking their size into consideration, these sound very nice. They get louder than your probably thinking and the highs are nice crisp and detailed. Perfect for budget minded folks with limited space. These definitely need a subwoofer. The 3.5” and 4” woofers don’t offer much in the way of low extension. With a good subwoofer or two, these speakers will meet most people’s expectations and then some. MSRP Rating - 8.0 These are a bargain at the MSRP price of $797. They hold up nicely with speakers costing more, that’s for sure. The competition is pretty stiff in this price range so you’d be better served going out and trying to hear these for yourself. Brands like Definitive Technology, Polk and Monitor Audio have nice little speaker packers that would be similar to these. Aesthetics - 8.5 Again, I’m a big fan of the Klipsch “Reference” copper but the plastic woofer just can’t compete with the quality and looks of the Cerametallic Cones. The cabinet is nicely sized and I think the grills are nice. Price Paid Value - 8.0 Getting 5 Klipsch speakers for $200 was a great deal. This little home theater package is going to make the next owner very happy. Average Guy HiFi Rating - 41/50 = 82% Final Thoughts - This speaker set would be perfect for those on a tight budget and have a smaller room. Like I mentioned, for music, movies and video games, I definitely recommend a subwoofer or a pair of subs to augment the low end.
