[Mod] MAKO BEATS YUGI - Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monster Coliseum - Custom Duel #6: NG++ + Rebalancing

It's so hard that I was hesitating a lot and thinking during the duel. :P After a first round of my rebalancing of the monsters and elements, I've decided to do a second round giving the defensive Symbol elements (Water, Light and Wind) some more love. Who has played at least a bit of the game might know that Water Symbols boost the Defense of Water and Wood monsters, Light ones boost the Defense of Light and Earth monsters and Wind ones boost it for Fire and Wind monsters. However, in the base game, they have three main issues that made them pretty weak for high-level duels, with maxed Symbols (Effect Strength of 100): - Their monsters do not have decent attack power, so, against other defensive symbol, the duel becomes quite boring, since monsters can only hit themselves for 10 damage. So the only way of winning is crushing the other player's Symbol, which can be prevented by adding a "wall" of monsters around it. - The defense boosts are not strong enough, so the monsters can be one-shotted by Fire, Dark or Thunder monsters, with matching symbols, due to their high attack power. - Land form and Map effects do not do much to help. In some stages, they make things even worse. To fix these issues and make these elements competitive and strong, the monsters have undergone a total stat remake. To help you understand, it is good to note that: - Map effects are global terrain effects, so they affect the whole map. - Land form effects are local terrain effects, that affect individual tiles. - Both kinds of effects are related to an Element. The changes are the following: 1) Light: - Monsters with Special Abilities have boosted Symbol effect rates, since Light symbols (and Earth too, for Blue-Eyes's one) boost their power. This also helps Earth symbol users, by allowing higher attack powers for Light monsters; - Monsters without SPAs have low Symbol effect rates, but higher base stats (AT/DF) and high Map effect rates. This way, the environment helps these monsters achieve good offensive power that allows them to actually do some damage, even against monsters with high DF values. This also synergizes pretty well with map-changing SPAs, such as Petit Angel's Place of Light, which boosts the Light Map Effect. But unfavorable terrains have a more significant negative effect on these monsters. 2) Water and Wind: monsters are placed in two categories: - Defensive: higher Symbol rates, higher base defense and slightly higher base attack: forms the defensive backbone of the element and are safe choices for pursuing Symbols. Their Attack is slightly boosted, but they still do 10 damage against monsters with stronger defenses (they aren't meant to pierce them anyway); - Offensive: lower Symbol rates, boosted base attack power, slightly higher base defense values and higher Land Form effect rate for Water and higher Map effect for Wind. This actually makes the terrain pretty important for these elements, since their boosts make a big difference, because the base stats are higher. That's why you can see, in this duel, Kairyu-Shin's attack power raising more than 100 points due to a change in terrain; Water is good for it. These changes are present in this duel with Mako.
