Healthy longevity means that a person is physically, mentally, and socially functioning through middle and older ages, with a socially connected, reasonably pain-free and short period before end of life. Investing in healthy longevity could save millions of lives in low and middle income countries and extend millions more lives by 2050, resulting in enormous economic benefits.
