It's finally here! The new 2024 Chevrolet Traverse. I was thrilled to take a joy ride with one of the Chevy engineers after questioning the performance of the new 2.5L 4cylinder engine that replaces the previous V6. He made a believer out of me. This car was. put through the paces. And it never hesitated. I have no concerns about the capability of this new engine. Other things that stood out to me: 1. The bold grill: it’s masculine and rugged. 2. The 22” tires on the RS and the 18” all-terrain tires in the Z71 trim. 3. 2nd generation Super Cruise that works when trailering and towing AND will switch lanes for you. 4. LED headlights and taillights all the way around. 5. Buckle to drive - technology that allows you to put the car in drive only after your driver (and first row passenger) are buckled up. 6. Smart slide seats in the second row - which is the car seat tilt! So, you don’t have to uninstall car seats or mess with them to get into the third row. Z71 is stunning, it has: Off-road suspension Skid plates Tow hooks 18-inch high-gloss Black machined-faced wheels with all-terrain tires Z71 badging and embroidery Hill Descent Control Trailering equipment two unique drive modes which are discussed in the video: All terrain and Off road.
