The Sumiran is an invocation prayer chanted or sung before the discourse or discussion of the Srimad Bhagavad Maha Purān or Srimad Bhagavatam. It is a supplication to the deities of auspiciousness, protection, benevolence, grace, music, literature, wisdom and eloquence. Pundit Ganesh sings the Srimad Bhagavad Purān Sumiran at the second night of Kathā at the Sri Dattatreya Yoga Center, Carapichaima during Kartik observances for November 2021.
