2024 Lime Rock Historic Festival 42 - Group 7 World Challenge - Monday AM Full Race - Caravan GTI

Race three of four for the new 'World Challenge' group at the Lime Rock Historic Festival 42. I am honored to be included in this new and exciting group (it is the one I would most want to watch), but the 'ole Mk2 is a little outclassed by the newer cars (Viper, 996 cup, Realtime RSX's, E36 M3, Mk7 Gti, E30 M3, Lotus Esprit Turbo, etc etc. with some pro drivers in the mix). It is amazing to be on track with this group though, and I learned a lot trying to keep up. I did many 1:04... laps in this session with a personal best 1:04.092. Why I couldn't trim that .092 off somewhere and get into the 1:03's is kind of killing me, but I guess that's what next year is for! I did hassle a 964 cup car for a number of laps in the middle of this race which was pretty satisfying. :-) The car performed flawlessly all weekend. Still photo credit: P1visuals.com
