The 2024 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is a testament to Hyundai's commitment to innovation and sustainability. Unveiled in a digital news conference, the car features a sporty design with improved aerodynamics, a long hood, and a wide front-end layout. The vehicle comes with a new curved display that combines the driver information cluster and the infotainment system. For the first time, the Sonata is available with Hyundai’s HTRAC All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system, mated to a 2.5L engine, offering enhanced driving performance and all-weather capabilities. The Sonata Hybrid also offers a range of driving modes including Normal, Smart, Sport, and Custom, which adjust settings for engine, transmission, AWD, and steering to provide the desired driving experience. The interior design follows a 'floating' theme, enhanced by ambient lighting, and offers a driver-centric layout with high-tech details. The exterior design is low-slung, embodying Hyundai’s theme of 'Sensuous Sportiness,' and features a new grille and larger air intakes for a more dynamic appearance. In terms of technology, the Sonata Hybrid is equipped with a variety of features for an elevated user experience. These include the Digital Key 2 for locking, unlocking, and starting the car through smartphones or smartwatches, a 12.3-inch driver information cluster and audio-video navigation system, and a head-up display for quick information processing. The car also features a 12-speaker Bose Premium Sound System with new CenterPoint 360 technology. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now available on all 2024 Sonata models. The vehicle also supports Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates, allowing for continuous upgrades and maintenance. It even boasts a first-in-class power trunk for added convenience. Safety features are abundant in the new Sonata Hybrid. It is equipped with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-traffic Collision-avoidance Assist, Blind-spot Collision Assist, and many more to provide a relaxed driving experience. The car also features Remote Smart Parking Assist, enabling the user to park the vehicle and exit parking spots remotely. The Sonata Hybrid is available in a range of exterior colors, including an exclusive Aero Matte Silver color for the N Line, and offers interior trim in a choice of black, dark gray and greige two-tone, and dark gray and camel two-tone. The interior also features modern, light fabric colors and supple leathers for a comfortable environment. Under the hood, the Sonata Hybrid is powered by a 2.0L hybrid electric engine equipped with e-Motion Drive for a smooth and comfortable driving experience. For the first time, it also features paddle shifters and a regenerative braking mode to further increase fuel efficiency. The Sonata Hybrid’s aero-friendly design not only adds to its sporty aesthetics but also improves fuel efficiency and stability during high-speed driving.
