Learn how to create your own piece of Folded Book Art by folding a small butterfly with this complete online workshop. We'll explain our bookfolding method and show you where to mark the pages and how to fold them. All of our measure and mark patterns work in the same way, so if you know how to use this pattern, you can use all of our measure and mark pattern. The marks will appear in the video, if they go too fast you can pause the video after each new marking. You can also check the marks below. You need a hardcover book with a last page number of at least 120 to fold the butterfly from this tutorial. You'll also need a metric ruler and a pencil. To calculate your starting page please take the last even numbered page number from your book and divide this by 2. Now subtract 50 from this number. The number you'll get now is your starting page, if it's an even number, please add 1 to it, because your starting page always has to be an odd number.
