**HIGHLY CLASSIFIED TOP SECRET – INTERIM CLEARANCE GRANTED FOR TRAINING PROGRAM 144** *The following is a debrief from Task Force 144 Operatives* TF144 - OPERATION SHATTERED WEB – Special Operations Group Echo, Black Ops 9 DEBRIEFING REPORT Time/Location: REDACTED We received multiple verified reports from sources near our FOB in the REDACTED region that perceived allies had mobilized troops and armor to launch a surprise pre-emptive strike on our critical infrastructure, resources, supply routes, including attempts to covertly hack our communications systems. The savage nature of this unprovoked attack from hidden, false allied forces and the disarray that ensued restricted the abilities of SIGINT analysts in determining the identities of the factions responsible/involved in the attacks. We responded rapidly and established a defensive posture, including actively disabling known points of strike access. We also re-established essential operational command ability. Analysts discovered that the assailing factions had for months been covertly disseminating disinformation in the region in order to rally support from the locals. This falsified intel on our operations in the region was manufactured and chosen specifically in order to promote feelings of distrust and animosity regarding the nature of our aid operations. This promoted local enlistment into the rouge factions and serve to further co-ordinate the attacks. The disinformation spread among the region included internet propaganda designed to target vulnerable members of the public, enlist and arm them to support their campaign. This was financed by the main group via bribes including cash, supplies, and aid resources stolen from our own relief caches, and intel on official operations in the region. In many trials that will follow, many local participants will state on record they were either not involved directly, or they were unaware they had been purposely misled into an unnecessary conflict predicated on lies and falsified intel. This will be up to the courts to decide who did what at which level of involvement. Within the opp command structure was a hidden sleeper agent ally with a vested interest in the impending conflict. The source compiled detailed datasets of all players involved, including their local assets, black market dealings and encrypted comms planning the attack. Due to shared interest in the region this asset provided enough intelligence to significantly negate the mass effect of initial attacks-though many critical areas were damaged. The source agreed to continue to provide detailed surveillance and intelligence in so far as we were able to retain control of the region and prevent further exploitation of the region’s population by these extremist groups-a dangerous game for a double agent. The intel continues to be solid. The asset’s long-term goals and motivations has yet to reveal itself. Based on the intel provided by our mole, it appears they are strategically placed in the high command of the leading opp faction. Upon first contact with this potential asset, they identified a hidden mole placed by the opp faction within our own command structure. We rapidly mobilized after the onset of several pre-emptive assaults on our critical infrastructure with the help of the intel provided by our asset. Simultaneously, the double-agent placed in our command structure was apprehended and detained. Our main allies matched our efforts to engage the onset of the main opp assault forces. Despite the months of preparation prior to the start of the attacks, plus the apparent superior numbers due to recruitment, the webs weaved by the opps were cut to shreds as the nature and origin of the attacks revealed themselves over time. As the battle waned, support for the opposing aggressors ceased as their resources became stressed and they lost their ability to maintain bribes amongst suppliers, allies and recruiters. Sensing impending defeat and the futility of the initiative in achieving our demise, opp forces continued to refuse to stand down and instead launched a last-ditch offensive strike in order to maximize damage and destruction. This was a ruthless, heinous act done out of pure malice. Our hand forced, prompted response with reciprocal mass effect on strategic opp military installations with minimal casualties. The opposing factions and all operational cells were shattered. Peace has been restored to the region, and aid efforts have resumed. The greater co-ordination and complexity involved in an attack plot and web designed to ensnare others entails many leaks and unforeseen variables. Additionally, intel had been falsely manufactured and intentionally spread in order to garner support for their offensive.
