2022 Under Armour All-America Senior Lacrosse Game - Some Highlights

Here's some highlights from before, during and after the game. Missed some (including Joey Spallina's BTB goal) due to bad camera work. Missed a big chunk of the 2nd half due to getting drone shots, which I'll post in a separate video. (   • 2022 Under Armour All America Senior ...  ) Also, you'll notice Mitchell Pehlke is featured prominently. Not because we're associated in any way, but because he's everywhere at the game and I like him and his work. He was certainly one of the highlights of the night for people playing and in attendance. I was one of the last people out of the stadium after packing up all my gear and I met Mitchell in the parking lot behind Homewood. He was as nice a guy as I expected. I told him I covered his Dad for part of a game while we were in college. If you don't know about Kevin Pehlke, look him up. He was one of the best lacrosse players of his generation playing with a phenomenal attack at UVA. Before that, he was a star for Calvert Hall. When I first heard about Mitchell a few months ago from Tucker Macknik, the son of one of my best friends, I figured he was probably related to Kevin. It's neat to see Mitchell excelling in not only lacrosse, but his media endeavors. A personal highlight was seeing two of the North coaches - John Paul and Dallas Hartley. I got to know both from my days coaching Cal. JP was the long-time Michigan head coach. Dallas was a stud LSM for Sonoma State and has been more recently doing a great job as head coach for a strong Chapman team. It's been a number of years since seeing JP and I haven't seen Dallas since the late 90s/early 2000s. It was a real treat. On a personal level, it was also nice watching family friend, Will Schaller, do his thing playing D for the North (#7). He's a beast who is now a freshman at Maryland. With my nephew Brady in the half-time parade, along w. Marcus Acevedo, a LSM for Boys' Latin who I got to know coaching the Nationals Club, I got some cameos of a couple young buck lax rats that I love. Originally, I was planning on hitting the road earlier in the day for the Lake Placid tourney. I'm glad I stuck around to see/film this game. The atmosphere was electric, the lacrosse was fast and fun to watch and I got to see the people above along with some other friends and family. It's amazing how good these guys are at this age. The skill, athleticism, IQ, creativity, etc.. is off the charts. These guys get up and down the field. It was a great night of lacrosse. (Shot w. Sony FX3)
