శ్వాసక్రియ విధానం - Mechanism of breathing | Breathing, and exchange of gases | Class 11 Biology

Hello, today we're going to explain the mechanism of breathing in the human lungs and respiratory system from the chapter breathing and exchange of gases in the class 11 biology in the language Telugu. These are the following topics covered in this video: *Breathing *Pulmonary Breathing *Human Breathing system *Inhalation *Exhalation *Mechanism of breathing *Stages of breathing *Inspiration *Expiration *Tidal Volume *Inspiratory capacity *Functional Residual Capacity *Total Lung Capacity The respiratory system is a biological system consisting of specific organs and structures used for gas exchange in animals and plants. The anatomy and physiology that make this happen vary greatly, depending on the size of the organism, the environment in which it lives and its evolutionary history. Breathing involves two stages: inspiration during which atmospheric air is drawn in and expiration by which the alveolar air is released out. The movement of air into and out of the lungs is carried out by creating a pressure gradient between the lungs and the atmosphere. Inspiration can occur if the pressure within the lungs (intra-pulmonary pressure) is less than the atmospheric pressure, i.e., there is a negative pressure in the lungs with respect to atmospheric pressure. Similarly, expiration takes place when the intra-pulmonary pressure is higher than the atmospheric pressure. The diaphragm and a specialized set of muscles – external and internal intercostals between the ribs, help in the generation of such gradients. Inspiration is initiated by the contraction of the diaphragm which increases the volume of the thoracic chamber in the anteroposterior axis. The contraction of external intercostal muscles lifts up the ribs and the checkout our other Videos in Class 11 Physics:    • Physics Grade 11 Playlist Introductio...   Check out our other Videos in Class 11 Chemistry:    • Chemistry Grade 11 Introduction | Stu...   Check out our other Videos in Class 11 Biology:    • Biology Grade 11 Playlist Introductio...   Subscribe to our Channel Studious for more updates:    / studiousofficial   #Anatomy #RespiratorySystem #telugu #Zoology #biology #Intermediate #JEE #telugu #onlineClasses #inter #ncert
