Our September meeting is dedicated to feeding bees, and we hope you will join us as we learn from guest speaker, Bob Binnie, about the chemistry and mechanics of feeding bees successfully. Whether you are a seasoned beekeeper or a beginner, how and when you feed your bees is a important part of keeping and raising bees in our area. Bob Binnie, along with his wife Suzette, owns and operates Blue Ridge Honey Company in Lakemont, Georgia. Bob began his commercial beekeeping career in Oregon in 1981 and because of migratory beekeeping practices has managed bees in nine states. Voted 2003 Beekeeper of The Year in Georgia, Bob has also been President of the Georgia Beekeepers Association, the Northeast Georgia Beekeepers Association and the Macon County Beekeepers Association in Franklin, North Carolina.
