The tournament features men's and women's singles and doubles as well as mixed doubles, and more than 250 players from around the world participate. The event is unique on the Finnish scale in every way, as the competition has almost half a million dollars in prize money and the TV broadcasts of the competition reach more than half a billion households. Players will also compete for valuable World Tour points, based on which the top eight players and a couple from each dicipline will be able to compete for a prize pool of two million dollars in the World Tour finals in China in December.
