Yesterday I went to Vilnius University St. John's church to check how the renovation of the great organ is going and saw that Janis Kalnins and his team from Latvia have already finished work on the key action on all three manuals. I tested them out and found that it's much easier to press the keys now. Manual II now has the Barker machine installed (modelled after Barnim Grüneberg's example at Liepaja's Holy Trinity Cathedral in Latvia) and that Manuals I and III have been also adjusted to have lighter touch than before. The couplers remain mechanical and not influenced by the Barker machine. Hope you will enjoy this video!
