6 SAF servicemen fined by military court over death of NSF Dave Lee

Six Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) servicemen have been fined by a military court in relation to the death of Corporal First Class (CFC) Dave Lee in April 2018. They pleaded guilty to charges, including negligent acts endangering life and abuse of authority, and were fined between $1,800 and $4,500. Three were also demoted to Corporal from the rank of Third Sergeant. CFC Lee died after suffering heat stroke following an 8km fast march at Bedok Camp. The 19-year-old spent more than a week in intensive care before succumbing to his injuries.
