Ciste Dhubh - Glen Shiel, Scotland

Our first munro of the August 2019 trip; Ciste Dhubh (979m) in Glen Shiel, North West Scotland. A changeable weather day that gave generally fine views and a bonus soaking on the way down. This was the first outing for Richard's new toy as well giving a very different perspective. We ascended via the shapely Am Bathach ridge which we highly recommended as an alternative approach to the normal route up Ciste Dhubh. Well defined ridges lead the way onto the Munro's slopes via a slightly boggy bealach. For us the top 100m or so was in cloud but we had generally fine views otherwise.
