Is Brown Rice Gluten Free? Plus best brown rice options!

This was the question I got a few times after blogging about going gluten free on a budget so I decided to answer this burning question in a video- and share my favity fave different types of brown rice. If you've ever wondered "is brown rice gluten free?" wonder no more! Rice (even the white kind!) is naturally gluten free. However, if you have celiac disease or a severe gluten intolerance or gluten allergy, be wary of cross contamination when preparing foods yourself or dining out. Leftover gluten molecules on bowls, plates or utensils can cross-contaminate when they come into contact with your rice. Also, aim to get just pure rice itself- those made with certain seasonings and/or thickening agents can contain gluten. That way, you can be sure your brown rice is truly gluten free! My favorite brown rice options include: Annie Chun's Maifun brown rice noodles - love these served up with diced chicken & avocado and topped with a few splashes of coconut aminos.
