Looking for a less touristy town in Japan? We escape the busy, touristy cities of Japan in this week's video and head into Kirishima, a lovely Japanese mountain town with lots to do. It's a must visit place in Japan that you might not have heard of! We were there during golden week and unlike the packed cities of Japan, you wouldn't have been able to guess it was golden week! Kirishima has been one of the most relaxing places we've been to in Japan since it doesn't have anywhere near as many tourists as other places. There's a lot of hot springs to choose from and amazing views of the Japanese mountains featuring Sakurajima, one of the most active volcanoes in Japan! If you're looking for something exciting, Kirishima also has some amazing hikes in the area with stunning views.
