2024 Changan Qiyuan Q05 in-depth Walkaround The Changan Qiyuan Q05 is a plug-in hybrid SUV derived from the Changan CS55 Plus petrol-powered model. Qiyuan, previously known by its codename OX, is Changan's new energy brand. According to industry insiders, Qiyuan vehicles will be sold overseas under the “Oren” name. By 2025, Qiyuan plans to introduce seven models, starting with the A07 liftback. Other models in the lineup include the A05 sedan, A06 liftback, Q05 SUV, and CD701 pickup truck. Notably, three of these models (A05, A06, and Q05) are based on petrol-powered vehicles from Changan. The Changan Qiyuan Q05 retains the proportions, sizing, and overall exterior design of the CS55 Plus SUV. It can be distinguished by its closed grille, adjusted bumpers, and Qiyuan logos. The Q05 measures 4539 mm in length, 1856 mm in width, and 1680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2656 mm. It features traditional door handles and unique R19 five-spoke rims. The Qiyuan Q05's powertrain includes a 1.5-liter Blue Core self-aspirated engine producing 110 hp (81 kW), paired with an electric motor delivering 215 hp (158 kW). There will also be a less powerful version with an electric motor generating 195 hp (143 kW). The vehicle is equipped with an LFP battery, although its capacity has not yet been disclosed.
