VW Bug Swingaxle to IRS Conversion with Bus 3 rib Transmission Sandrail Buggy Jig

Here is a video documenting my VW swingaxle to IRS conversion using a VW Bus 3 rib transmission. I used the jig which made it much easier. Porsche 930 stub axles so I could run bus CVs instead of bus CV to bug CV. This also gives me a few more degrees of suspension travel. Transmission mounts were hand made. I am using standard car axles and used a bench grinder to grind down the inner sides to the splines(about an inch). My swingaxle swing plates were cut and the slots were punched. This saves be having to buy IRS spring plates and torsion bars. After welding everything up I am 1/16" an inch off when measuring diagonally to each trailing arm. Not too bad. Also note, on the IRS pivot brackets I spaced the washers apart (not together) so that I could have some adjust-ability if my toe in/out was off. Message me if you have any questions, thanks!
