Game Engine Ep.61 - Start the Asset Display, Renaming assets, and More!!

Don't forget to check out the github repo: https://github.com/dwjclark11/Scion2D Welcome back everyone, my name is Dustin, and in this video we continue with the advancement of the Editor and create the Asset Display. The asset display will display all of the converted assets in the game. We will also go over how to rename the assets and add some error text if the asset already exists or if the new name is empty. We also add some more functionality to the Asset Manager and some more template utility functions. There is a couple of challenges proposed at the end, those challenges are as follows: 1) Create the OpenAssetContext(...) function. - This function will need to have various choices to select. Such as rename and delete. - Implement the delete function based on the asset type. 2) Add functionality to change the asset cell/tile size. - This should be done in the AssetDisplay::Update (). - The tile should adjust its size based on the scroll up and down of the mouse wheel. - This should only happen if the window is focused, hovered, and either of the CTRL buttons are pressed. - The size should also be clamped to a min/max size. For instance min = 32.f and max = 256.f Please Like and Subscribe! If you have any questions or concerns, please leave a comment below and I will make sure to answer them to the best of my ability. Also, if you know a better way to implement something, please share! I always love to learn and grow.
