ABC Afterschool Specials - "Where Do Teenagers Come From?" (Complete Broadcast, 3/5/1980) 📺

Not from Chicago, but nonetheless something that would have aired in Chicago (over WLS Channel 7) - an edition of the ABC Afterschool Specials, "Where Do Teenagers Come From?," in this case as transmitted via Dallas-Fort Worth TX's ABC affiliate WFAA Channel 8. This was the thrilling sequel to the famous 1977 Afterschool Special "My Mom's Having a Baby," (which you can see the original broadcast of here:    • ABC Afterschool Special - "My Mom's H...  ) and the plot deals with Kelly (Rachel Longaker), now 12 years old, wondering what's with the changes taking place inside and around her body, and an explanation (with animation from DePatie-Freleng of "Pink Panther" cartoon series fame, which produced this) about the onset and aftereffects of puberty and adolescence. Also features Shane Sinutko as Pete, Jarrod Johnson as Oscar, Stephanie Steele as Julie, and noted pediatrician Dr. Lendon H. Smith as himself (alas, his name is misspelled in the opening credits as 'Lyndon Smith, M.D.'), all reprising their roles from the earlier show. (Side note: In 1976, Dr. Smith made occasional appearances on the 5pm Eyewitness News on WLS.) All show bumper voiceovers are by Bill Owen.
