WarioWare: Move It! - 9-Volt - 100+ Points!

Even if the punchline was super obvious, I'm surprised how hard they went on the horror aspect. Hope they go super hard on genres more in the future. Anyway this might be my least favourite stage so far. The Nintendo representation is the usual stuff (even if some of the choices are a bit confusing) but the gameplay on average has to be the worst so far. I'm noticing an unusual amount of microgames in this game in general that require stupid reactions. The Animal Crossing one feels like it'd be really stupid in All Mixed Up where the form memo strat doesn't really work. There's others in other stages I'll talk about when I get to them. Fire Emblem one is kinda funny because it more than made up for how laughably easy their last microgame was. Now it swaps out Hand Model's usual jank for absurdly tight reactions and precision. It's super overtuned for some reason. Some janky ones around like the DK one and Yoshi one. Guess it's not as egregious as some other stages though so I'll give it that. The SMB3 one feels really awkward more in gameplay though. I just see the form and move early to avoid the whole thing, though there is also that pattern with Bullet Bills at the top to start so you have to react a little later. I'll have to learn it proper sooner or later though... Bummed to see another "stay still" microgame lol I'm really bad at those. There's quite a few microgames about being steady which I guess makes sense. I think my sense of balance in general is abnormally bad, especially for a WarioWare fan. Boss stage seems like a really confusing choice. I'm a defender of Mario 64 DS but... idk really that's the best they could come up with? Using the three slide courses as difficulty levels is clever but it means there's nothing fresh here except for the controls. Kinda a letdown. Also it gets too fast for me lol I'm just gonna admit without more practice and knowledge on strats to survive some parts I'm just not gonna be able to pull it off on max speed often. That's not a criticism though. Does someone on the WarioWare staff really have it out for Pinball because it keeps showing up and it's always terrible. Please stop doing these, they never feel intuitive or fun or like you even have much say in where you fire them. I'd say this is the only microgame so far in the game I'd call flat out terrible and tbh it does really bring the stage down a lot and I didn't even like it to begin with. Yeah I don't really see myself coming back to this stage much unless there happens to be some logic to the pinball one (and if I get good at the boss stage kek). Was a bit disappointed this time around but I'm sure others see it differently, not every stage can be a hit.
