#killaleastatepark #greynomadsaustralia #caravanningaustralia We are heading to the New South Wales south coast and then caravanning our way down the New South Wales Coast through the Sapphire Coast and around the bottom of Australia into Victoria. This week we left Jindabyne and headed to Cooma and west 21km to Numeralla for an overnight camp at the Badja Recreation Reserve a free camp on the bank on Big Badja River, next morning we moved on to Gurney VC Rest Area north of Canberra, another free camp on the side of the Federal Highway near Lake George. Next morning bright and early we travelled east to Shell Harbour to the Killalea State Park to stay at the Killalea Campgrounds, ready to start our awesome caravan journey down the New South Wales coast, we visited Shell Cove, Seacliff Bridge, Port Kembla, Kiama Blowhole, Kiama Farmers Markets, Kiama Lighthouse, Bass Point and Shell Harbour, what a wonderful week we have had, We are Bec and Ed, from Aussie Nomad Destinations, we are traveling around Australia in our Jayco Silverline Caravan and Next Gen Ford Ranger, and we have been travelling now for two years. Are we grey nomads? You bet we are, we have now been doing the lap for two years, fulltime camping, mostly offgrid, in lost cost-free campground, National Parks, and budget campgrounds as we caravan Australia, we love to do bush walks and hikes, fishing and crabbing where possible, But most of all we love to beach camp, we just love a beach front National Park, we will see the best places to visit in Australia, give you caravan tips and tricks, all while we show you, grey nomads how we caravan Australia and our camping adventures, and hope it helps you as grey nomads caravanning Australia, and caravanning Australia fulltime, Stay Happy. Setting off in a trusty camper van or towing a caravan, grey nomads traverse rugged outback terrains, lush rainforests, and sun-kissed coastal stretches, each offering its own unique charm. The freedom of the open road beckons, with countless camping spots nestled along the way, from designated campgrounds with modern facilities to remote bush sites under a blanket of stars. As the sun dips below the horizon, gathering around a crackling campfire becomes a cherished ritual, sharing stories and laughter with fellow travellers or simply relishing the serenity of nature's embrace. With every dawn, there's a new adventure awaiting, whether it's exploring ancient Aboriginal rock art, spotting native wildlife in their natural habitats, or simply basking in the tranquillity of untouched landscapes. Camping as a grey nomad in Australia is not just a journey; it's a lifestyle of discovery, connection, and endless possibilities.
